?Monitoring drums containing gloves, gowns and protective gear used to access low-level radioactive areas. As RFID Project Manager Joffray Henné underlines, “This gear needs be treated as radioactive waste. We track it from when it’s used to incineration, identifying items from when they arrive on the site to transit with a transporter. RFID gate readers automatically detect multiple drums, instead of having to manually scan them one by one. The next challenge is to develop more accurate calibration.”
